Tadcaster Riverside Albion FC was formed in 2005 by the amalgamation of Riverside JFC and Tadcaster Albion JFC.
Riverside JFC was formed in 2001 by Mick Clow and Mark Mottershead both of whom had sons playing for the club. Riverside JFC was the first club in Tadcaster to gain the Chartered Standard Club award, this was achieved within the first 12 months of the clubs establishment. Tadcaster Albion is the longest established junior club in the Tadcaster district. The amalgamation of the two clubs formed the biggest junior club section in Tadcaster with age groups from Kindergarten to Under 16‘s. Tadcaster Riverside Albion is the ‘mini soccer’ section of Tadcaster Albion and we are based at Riverside School on Wetherby Road, Tadcaster.
We are affiliated with the West Riding FA under the umbrella of Tadcaster Albion. The mini soccer section caters for Kindergarten (4 and 5 year olds), Under 7‘s, Under 8‘s, Under 9‘s and Under 10‘s (both boys and girls). All coaches and assistants are CRB checked and most hold coaching qualifications. The U8‘s and U9‘s are coached by Andrew Charlesworth , Liz Boyle , Sharon Conway and Gordon Thompson. Liz is also the Neighbourhood Police Officer for Tadcaster. The Under 10‘s are coached by Mick Clow assisted by Ian Ward, Billy Hick and Dave Whitehead. Ian Ward is also the fixtures secretary for the Under 10‘s.
